Chapter 1: American Fly & Chapter 2: Fairies Visit Fly

Triangle Arts Association presents the premiere of THE MAGIC AGENCY, a new performance work by Brooklyn-based Lilac Co. in which a group (cult?) performs psychic recoveries of fragmented people as party entertainment, helping people rescue their “lost selves.” Written and directed by playwright Sean Edward Lewis, and drawing from the hermetic expressionism of Agnes Martin, Gertrude Stein, Samuel Beckett, and others, the work “creates not merely physical spaces, but imaginary, emotional, and intellective states an audience passes through.” (Thom Donovan, The Brooklyn Rail).

With Sean Lewis, Claire Campbell and Sarah Casey.

Art direction: Kenneth Curwood

Stage manager: Channa Goodwin,

Sound design by Jeremy Slater and Eric Hoegemeyer.
